My Story

Im Zachary Roxby and when I was born I was diagnosed with Cleft Lip and Cleft palate cronofacial birth defect. For the eighteen years I have lived I have suffered torment among my fellow school peers and a principle from Juniata Valley Elementary school. As long as I have known the only thing that comforted me was the pleasure of my anger; when students would pick and tease me about my Cleft Lip I would take my anger out on them. Only two people in my elementary school life did I find true peace and ways to control the deep anger inside of me that was like a monster locked in a cage ready to burst out.
The two people in my life was Lisa Robinson and David McGinnis. They tought me how to control my anger in a way I didn't think would work. Lisa also taught me how to ride my bike and David taught me how to swim better. They gave me hope when I was in total darkness. When I moved and couldn't be with them anymore I used their lessons to help me further in life. As I grew to the age of eighteen I have had so far six total surgeries relating to my cleft lip and cleft palate. Now I have a better life living with my biological father and I have a beautiful young twenty year old girlfriend named Amanda and I am currently working on a novel that I hope will inspire people to use their imaginations and their creativity
